Taylor Zhang of Choo Choo Press is a writer, teacher, and zine enthusiast based in New York City. She’s currently taking her first French class in four years! “Having a blast reading/talking in another language again :)”
The weather Taylor most enjoys is drizzly, overcast days. The best for reading, talking on the couch, and watching movies.
Her most prized possession is a white box full of all the cards and letters she’s ever received. She reads through it once a year and thinks about the many people that she’s met and loved along the way.
A supernatural experience: “I was seven the first time I visited my grandfather’s grave in China, where we burned cigarettes and money for him to use in the afterlife. My dad and I would hold hands and pour out alcohol on the grave whenever the mood descended. To get back to town, we had to motorcycle through this canyon and growing straight out of the cliffs were these pink and red flowers that I hadn’t seen on the drive in. Growing straight out of the rocks!”
