Marc Fischer is an artist, publisher, and teacher based in Chicago, IL. The group that he’s part of, Temporary Services, is working on a booklet about dealing with waste in publishing practices. In his work as Public Collectors, he’s assembling a collection of older press photos of people attending protests dressed as the Grim Reaper.
Marc’s first memory of the internet is discovering and participating in early discussion forums for art and music while an undergrad at Carnegie Mellon University in the early 1990s.
A place he wants to return to is Mexico City, every chance he gets.
His favorite tool is a bone folder.
