This week’s featured syllabus is Homie Ethics 101 by Adriana Monsalve and Caterina Ragg.

In a culture as socially isolating as that found in the U.S., where heterosexual, monogomous, romantic partnerships are prized over all other forms of intimacy, Adriana and Caterina’s syllabus is a breath of fresh air. The piece invites us to engage in the profound possibilities of friendship. It outlines a host of creative ways to intentionally build mutual care and vulnerability into platonic relationships. These gestures of love and tenderness are framed not only as personally enriching, but also as acts of resistance against the forces of patriarchy and white supremacy.
