Avery Trufelman is a podcaster, essayist, and interviewer based in Brooklyn, NY. She’s currently falling down a rabbit hole about octagon-shaped houses, which was a huge fad in the 1840s.
Avery was raised in a barn! It truly was a barn for animals but it was renovated in the 1970s. Very, very funky.
Her favorite state is Hawaii. Hawaii had electricity before the White House. It’s a beautiful state with a fascinating and devastating history.
Her secret talent is opening a beer bottle with her teeth.
